The work analyzes preliminary results of a complex method of treatment of severe ischemic alterations of the brain. Certain parameters of the immune system, its phagocytic link in particular, were studied along with clinico-physiological indices of the functional state of the brain. It was shown that efficient surgical revascularization of the ischemic zones reinforced by electrostimulation at the early postoperative period allowed to substantially restore the motor and speech functions even in cases of critical lesions.

The effect of electroneuromyostimulation (ENMS) combined with Nootropil administration for trauma neuropathies was assessed using clinical and physiological tests in 58 patients. The combined intervention considerably accelerated the restoration of motor and sensory functions after the reconstructive neurosurgery on the extremities. Neuroleptoanalgesia decreased the operative risk as compared with ether and fluothane. A combined anesthesia with sodium hydroxybutyrate in association with drugs for NLA and tranquilizers is thought to be the method of choice in patients with a pronounced respiratory insufficiency.
