tRNA nucleotidyltransferase represents a ubiquitous and essential activity that adds the indispensable CCA triplet to the 3'-end of tRNAs. To fulfill this function, the enzyme contains a set of highly conserved motifs whose coordinated interplay is crucial for the sequence-specific CCA polymerization. In the human enzyme, alterations within these regions have been shown to lead to the manifestation of disease.

College of Bioresources Chemical and Materials Engineering, Shaanxi University of Science & Technology, Xi'an 710021, China; Institute of Biomass & Functional Materials, Shaanxi University of Science & Technology, Xi'an 710021, China. Electronic address:

The escalating atmospheric CO₂ concentration urgently demands ecologically friendly mitigation strategies. Compared to alternative catalysts, carbonic anhydrase (CA) demonstrates exceptionally high catalytic efficiency in CO₂ hydration reactions. Nevertheless, traditional CA immobilization techniques exhibit peak enzymatic activity exclusively at optimal temperatures, consequently constraining their effective application across diverse environmental thermal conditions in industrial settings.

Present study was conducted to evaluate the detrimental impacts of exposure of Multi-walled Carbon Nanotubes (MWCNT-NP) on enzymatic activities and tissue structures in Swiss albino mice. The experimental groups of mice received MWCNT-NP for specific time period (seven or fourteen days). Two distinct doses of the MWCNT-NP solution were given orally: 0.

A comprehensive study of liver-gut microbiota and antioxidant enzyme activity mediated regulation of late-laying hens by high and low residual feed intake.

Int J Biol Macromol

State Key Laboratory of Animal Nutrition and Feeding, College of Animal Science and Technology, China Agricultural University, Beijing 100193, China. Electronic address:

Residual feed intake (RFI) is a better indicator of feed efficiency than feed conversion ratio (FCR). It is frequently used to evaluate the efficacy of poultry and livestock feed consumption. Generally, Low RFI (LRFI) is associated with better feed conversion efficiency, whereas high RFI (HRFI) suggests poorer feed conversion efficiency.

Electronic address:

Viscosity is a fundamental property in biological systems, influencing organelle function and molecular diffusion. Abnormal viscosity is associated with diseases such as metabolic disorders, neurodegeneration, and cancer. Lysosomes, central to cellular degradation and recycling, are sensitive to viscosity changes, which can disrupt enzymatic activity and cellular homeostasis.
