Aims: Early clinical studies have indicated that the pharmacokinetics of Atuliflapon (AZD5718) are time and dose dependent. The reason(s) for these findings is(are) not fully understood, but pre-clinical profiling suggests that time-dependent CYP3A4 inhibition cannot be excluded. In clinical practice, Atuliflapon will be co-administered with CYP3A4 substrates; thus, it is important to determine the impact of Atuliflapon on the pharmacokinetics (PK) of CYP3A4 substrates.

Intraoperative radiation therapy (IORT) is a radiation technique applying a single fraction with a high dose during surgery. We report the first abdomino-pelvic application of an image-guided intraoperative electron radiation therapy with intraoperative real time dose calculation based on the individual intraoperative patient anatomy. A patient suffering from locoregionally recurrent rectal cancer after treatment with neoadjuvant re-chemoradiation was chosen for this approach.

Endocannabinoid system as a therapeutic target for psychostimulants relapse: A systematic review of preclinical studies.

Eur J Pharmacol

July 2023

Neuroscience Research Center, Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, Tehran, Iran; School of Cognitive Sciences, Institute for Research in Fundamental Sciences, Tehran, Iran; Department of Basic Sciences, Iranian Academy of Medical Sciences, Tehran, Iran. Electronic address:

The mechanism behind the reinstament of psychostimulant, as a major obstacle in addiction treatment is not fully understood. Controversial data are available in the literature concerning the role of the endocannabinoid (eCB) system in regulating the relapse to psychostimulant addiction in preclinical studies. The current systematic review aims to evaluate eCB modulators' effect in the reinstatement of commonly abused psychostimulants, including cocaine, amphetamine, methamphetamine, and 3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine.
