Aims: Early clinical studies have indicated that the pharmacokinetics of Atuliflapon (AZD5718) are time and dose dependent. The reason(s) for these findings is(are) not fully understood, but pre-clinical profiling suggests that time-dependent CYP3A4 inhibition cannot be excluded. In clinical practice, Atuliflapon will be co-administered with CYP3A4 substrates; thus, it is important to determine the impact of Atuliflapon on the pharmacokinetics (PK) of CYP3A4 substrates.

Purpose: Many studies have focused on the association between Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and epidural labor analgesia (ELA), which is the most effective way to manage labor pain. The purpose of this meta-analysis was to summarize the current state of the association between ELA and ASD.
Methods: A search of the literature yielded 201 relevant studies, of which 7 cohort studies met our inclusion criteria.

Intraoperative radiation therapy (IORT) is a radiation technique applying a single fraction with a high dose during surgery. We report the first abdomino-pelvic application of an image-guided intraoperative electron radiation therapy with intraoperative real time dose calculation based on the individual intraoperative patient anatomy. A patient suffering from locoregionally recurrent rectal cancer after treatment with neoadjuvant re-chemoradiation was chosen for this approach.

Objective: To compare efficacy of oral versus intravenous (IV) methadone on postoperative pain and opioid requirements after spine surgery.
Methods: This was a retrospective, single-academic center cohort study evaluating 1010 patients who underwent >3 level spine surgery from January 2017 to May 2020 and received a one-time dose of oral or intravenous methadone prior to surgery. The primary outcome measured was postoperative opioid use in oral morphine equivalents (ME) and verbal response scale (VRS) pain scores up to postoperative day (POD) three.

The mechanism behind the reinstament of psychostimulant, as a major obstacle in addiction treatment is not fully understood. Controversial data are available in the literature concerning the role of the endocannabinoid (eCB) system in regulating the relapse to psychostimulant addiction in preclinical studies. The current systematic review aims to evaluate eCB modulators' effect in the reinstatement of commonly abused psychostimulants, including cocaine, amphetamine, methamphetamine, and 3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine.
