Purpose: The neurobiological heterogeneity present in schizophrenia remains poorly understood. This likely contributes to the limited success of existing treatments and the observed variability in treatment responses. Our objective was to employ magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and machine learning (ML) algorithms to improve the classification of schizophrenia and its subtypes.

Among the most prevalent are hemophilia A (deficiency of Factor VIII), hemophilia B (deficiency of Factor IX), and von Willebrand disease. Management of pharmacoresistant epilepsy is more difficult in a patient with bleeding disorder due to increased risk of bleeding during surgery.

Introduction: Spontaneous intracranial hypotension (SIH) is a secondary cause of headache. Its pathophysiology is complex, and relies mainly on the notion of a localized leak, and thus a loss of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) in the spinal region. SIH is little known to the medical profession, for which CT myelography is a technique on the rise, allowing to identify and treat the leak using a blood-patch or a fibrin sealant.

Cerebral cavernous malformations (CCMs) are angiographically occult vascular lesions that present with a variety of neurological symptoms, including seizures, features of raised intracranial pressure and focal neurological deficits. In extremely rare circumstances, CCMs have presented with concomitant brain abscess formation. To date, five cases have previously been reported, the majority of which have affected patients aged 16 years or older.

Intracerebral haemorrhage (ICH) is the most severe subtype of stroke, with a 2-year mortality of nearly 50% and the greatest rate of disability amongst stroke survivors. Whilst treatment options for ICH remain limited, the condition requires prompt identification and rapid intervention to reduce permanent brain damage, with diagnosis traditionally confirmed by CT imaging. Although imaging is excellent at determining the presence of an intracranial bleed, biomarkers may help to identify the type of stroke or when the stroke began.
