Effective resuscitation of neonates with congenital heart disease (CHD) depends on comprehensive planning, thorough understanding of physiology, vigilant monitoring, and interdisciplinary collaboration to achieve the best outcomes. Neonatal heart disease can affect cardiac structure, rhythm, or ventricular function, and may be either congenital or acquired. Critical congenital heart disease (CCHD) can result in inadequate pulmonary blood flow, impaired intracardiac mixing, airway obstruction, or insufficient cardiac output.

Background: Enhanced characterization of the atrial electrical substrate may lead to better comprehension of atrial fibrillation (AF) pathophysiology.
Objective: With the use of high-density substrate mapping, we sought to investigate the occurrence of functional electrophysiological phenomena in the left atrium and to assess potential association with arrhythmia recurrences after catheter ablation.
Methods: Sixty-three consecutive patients with AF referred for ablation were enrolled.

Technetium-99m pyrophosphate (Tc-99m PYP) cardiac imaging is a simple, widely available, noninvasive method to identify patients with transthyretin-type cardiac amyloidosis (ATTR), and it has remarkably high diagnostic accuracy with very high sensitivity and specificity. Visual scores of 0, 1, 2, and 3 indicate non-myocardial uptake, uptake less than rib, equal to rib, and greater than rib uptake, respectively. Semiquantitative assessment using the heart-to-contralateral lung ratio of more than 1.

Achieving optimal cardiovascular health in rural populations can be challenging for several reasons including decreased access to care with limited availability of imaging modalities, specialist physicians, and other important health care team members. Therefore, innovative solutions are needed to optimize health care and address cardiovascular health disparities in rural areas. Mobile examination units can bring imaging technology to underserved or remote communities with limited access to health care services.

Aneurysm of sinus Valsalva is a defined as dilatation of the sinuses located between the aortic valve annulus and the sinotubular junction and mostly found in the right coronary sinus. It can be either congenital or acquired. This condition is usually asymptomatic unless it can cause intracardiac rupture or aortic valve insufficiency.
