Abnormal autophagy regulation is implicated in lupus and other autoimmune diseases. We investigated autophagy in the murine pristane-induced lupus model. Pristane causes monocyte/macrophage-mediated endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress in lung endothelial cells and diffuse alveolar hemorrhage (DAH) indistinguishable from DAH in lupus patients.

Purpose: Prior sperm DNA fragmentation index (DFI) thresholds for diagnosing male infertility and predicting assisted reproduction technology (ART) outcomes fluctuated between 15 and 30%, with no agreed standard. This study aimed to evaluate the impact of the sperm DFI on early embryonic development during ART treatments and establish appropriate DFI cut-off values.
Methods: Retrospectively analyzed 913 couple's ART cycles from 2021 to 2022, encompassing 1,476 IVF and 295 ICSI cycles, following strict criteria.

Physical vapor deposition is widely used in the fabrication of organic light-emitting diodes and has the potential to adjust the density and orientation through substrate temperature control, which may lead to enhanced electrical performance. However, it is unclear whether this enhanced property is because of the horizontal molecular orientation or the increased density. The effects of the density and orientation on the electrical properties of a potential electron transport material, (3-dibenzo[c,h]acridin-7-yl)phenyl)diphenylphosphine oxide (TPPO-dibenzacridine), were investigated.

Xiaoaiping (XAP) Injection demonstrates the anti-prostate cancer (PCa) effects, yet the underlying mechanism remains unclear. This study aims to investigate the impact of XAP on PCa and elucidate its mechanism of action. PCa cell proliferation was evaluated using a cell counting kit-8 (CCK-8) assay.

Kaempferol (KP), a GRAS-certified phytomolecule enrolled in Phase I trials, is reported with various biological effects including anticancer activity. However, its poor pharmacokinetic profile limits the translational utility. Studies indicate that liposomes incorporating cyclodextrin inclusion complexes improves the bioavailability of hydrophobic drugs.
