Purpose: Gap-balanced total knee arthroplasty (TKA) technique relies on initial ligament evaluation, particularly in patient-specific implantation using computer-assisted technologies. This cadaveric study aimed to compare the reproducibility and reliability of medial and lateral gap measurements between manual stress testing and dynamic ligament balancer.

Methods: Initial gap acquisitions were assessed from eight cadaveric knees (four specimens) during the same navigated TKA procedure by five differently skilled surgeons (three seniors and two juniors).

Strength-based video-feedback (SB-VF) is an attached base and culturally sensitive video-feedback intervention which promotes maternal well-being and sensitivity through using mentalization technics. The goals of this study were to investigate the feasibility, acceptability, and preliminary effectiveness of internet-delivered SB-VF to mother with post-partum depression during COVID-19 pandemic. A pilot randomized, two arm controlled trial was conducted (trial registration NCT04748731) with depressive symptoms' women (n = 172) from Chilean public primary health centers, 79 were randomized to either experimental group (on-line SB-VF plus treatment as usual [TAU], n = 41) or control group (TAU, n = 38).

A consistent part of gas sensor research activities aims to improve sensing performances by synthesizing new sensing materials, improving the selection of elements in arrays, and optimizing the feature extraction and classification algorithms. This paper combines most of these aspects to confer selectivity to a low-selectivity sensor by using feature extraction algorithms applied to the sensor response kinetics. Several algorithms were employed to represent the kinetic behavior of the sensor response during the adsorption and desorption phases.

Purpose: To synthesize the current literature on posterolateral corner (PLC) reconstruction and repair, focusing on a comparison of surgical techniques and outcomes based on injury chronicity in the setting of sports-related ligament tears.

Methods: A systematic review of the literature, including queries of the PubMed/MEDLINE, Embase, and Cochrane Library databases, was performed in March 2024. Studies were included if they were of Level IV evidence or greater, reported PLC reconstruction or repair outcomes, and had a minimum 2-year follow-up.
