Ethnopharmacological Relevance: Xiao-xu-ming decoction (XXMD), a prominent traditional Chinese medicinal formula historically revered for stroke treatment, demonstrates pronounced efficacy in ameliorating ischemic stroke injury.
Aim Of The Study: This study aims to investigate the effects and mechanisms of XXMD on neuroprotection subsequent to cerebral ischemia/reperfusion in vivo and in vitro.
Materials And Methods: Neurobehavioral test, TTC staining, HE staining and nissl staining were used to examine the neuroprotective effect of XXMD on cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury induced by middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) in rats.

Heterochromatin organization is critical to many genome-related programs including transcriptional silencing and DNA repair. While super-resolution imaging, electron microscopy, and multiomics methods have provided indirect insights into the heterochromatin organization, a direct measurement of mesoscale heterochromatin ultrastructure is still missing. We use a combination of correlative light microscopy and cryo-soft X-ray tomography (CLXT) to analyze heterochromatin organization in the intact hydrated state of human mammary fibroblast cells.

Cytokine storm is a life-threatening disorder, and therapeutic treatments are urgently needed. Here, we investigated the anti-cytokine storm efficacy of DBDx, a triple drug combination composed of dipyridamole, ubenimex and dexamethasone. Evaluated by lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced cytokine storm murine model, DBDx significantly improved survival rate and prolonged survival time of the model mice.
