Monodisperse and colloidally stable magnetic iron oxide nanoparticles have been developed for diverse biotechnology applications. Although promising for the adsorption of organic molecules, the low density of adsorption sites in these nanoparticles has been a significant challenge. In this study, an optimized factorial design with response surface methodology (RSM) was employed to produce small Superparamagnetic Iron Oxide Nanoparticles (SPIONs) stabilized with tetraethoxysilane (TEOS).

The integration of molecular docking and AM1 calculations has elucidated the complexation behavior of butylone enantiomers with methylated β-cyclodextrin derivatives. Our study reveals that butylone can adopt two distinct conformations within the β-cyclodextrin cavity, with one conformation being preferentially stabilized due to its favorable binding energy. This conformation preference is influenced by the methylation at the O2, O3, and O6 positions of β-cyclodextrin, which significantly affects complex stability and solvation properties.

Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) are carcinogenic compounds resulting from incomplete burning of organic materials. This work describes the successful layer-by-layer fabrication of a novel zinc oxide nanocomposite made of zinc oxide nanoparticles, aniline, sodium dodecyl sulfate, and modified multi-walled carbon nanotubes on a stainless steel wire by electrodeposition. The coating and extraction conditions were screened, optimized, and validated using factorial design and central composite design, respectively.

Liver cancer is a prevalent form of carcinoma worldwide. A novel chitosan-coated optimized formulation capped with irradiated silver nanoparticles (INops) was fabricated to boost the anti-malignant impact of rosuvastatin calcium (RC). Using a 2-factorial design, eight formulations were produced using the solvent evaporation process.
