Introduction: Lymphedema, a debilitating characterized by localized fluid retention and tissue swelling, results from abnormalities in the lymphatic system. In the case of primary lymphedema, this condition is attributed to malformations in lymphatic vessels or nodes, and it is marked by a relentless progression leading to irreversible tissue fibrosis after repetitive inflammation. Many questions regarding its treatment, such as the choice of the type of intervention and the timing, still remain unanswered.

Minimizing statistical uncertainty of trial outcomes is an important consideration to increase statistical power. Machine learning models can leverage baseline data to create AI-generated digital twins - individualized predictions (or prognostic scores) of how each patient's clinical outcomes may change during a trial assuming they received placebo.

Clinical trials involving the use of immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) in thymoma have been complicated by a high incidence of immune-related adverse effects (irAEs).

Inferior vena cava (IVC) anomalies are rare congenital pathologies related to variations of agenesis, hypoplasia, or atresia, predisposing patients to thromboembolic events secondary to an alteration in venous drainage with resultant stasis. This is a case report of a 27-year-old male without significant medical history presenting for a fall after playing recreational basketball with associated pain and swelling in his left lower extremity. After his symptoms progressively worsened, he came to the emergency room for an evaluation where an ultrasound (US) of the extremity showed extensive deep vein thromboses (DVT).
