Overexpression of AtbZIP69 in transgenic wheat confers tolerance to nitrogen and drought stress.

Planta

January 2025

State Key Laboratory of Crop Gene Resources and Breeding, Institute of Crop Sciences, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS), Beijing, 100081, China.

AtbZIP69 overexpression in wheat significantly enhanced drought and low nitrogen tolerance by modulating ABA synthesis, antioxidant activity, nitrogen allocation, and transporter gene expression, boosting yield. In this study, we generated wheat plants with improved low nitrogen (LN) and drought tolerance by introducing AtbZIP69, a gene encoding a basic leucine zipper domain transcription factor, into the wheat cultivar Shi 4056. AtbZIP69 localized to the nucleus and activated transcription.

Enhancement of quantum synchronization in triple-cavity system.

Sci Rep

January 2025

School of Physics and Optoelectronics, Xiangtan University, Xiangtan, 411105, China.

We introduce two strategies to enhance quantum synchronization within a triple-cavity optomechanical system, where each cavity contains an oscillator and is interconnected via optical fibers. Our results demonstrate that applying appropriate periodic modulation to the driving fields or the cavity modes can ensure robust quantum synchronization across both open and closed configurations. This approach offers promising avenues for expanding quantum synchronization capabilities in multi-cavity systems and has significant implications for advancing quantum synchronization generation and application in complex networks.

The complexity of home-based rehabilitation technology implementation for post-stroke motor rehabilitation in the Netherlands.

BMC Health Serv Res

January 2025

Socio-Medical Sciences Department, Erasmus School of Health Policy & Management, Erasmus University Rotterdam, Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

Background: Rehabilitation technology is a growing field, but the sustainable implementation of these technologies, particularly in home settings, is lacking. The aim of this study was to explore the factors influencing the uptake of stroke rehabilitation technology among various stakeholders, including developers, healthcare professionals, individuals who had strokes, strategic experts, management and innovation staff, health insurers, and the National Health Care Institute.

Methods: In total, 22 semi-structured interviews were conducted with a purposive stakeholder sample.

The paper presents a new sensor-less voltage and frequency control method for a stand-alone doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG) feeding an isolated load. The proposed control approach directly regulates the magnitude and angle of the rotor-flux vector rather than controlling rotor currents or voltages as in classic field oriented control (FOC). To accurately regulate the magnitude and frequency of stator voltage, two separate closed-loop based PI regulators are employed to evaluate the reference signals of the rotor flux vector magnitude and angle, respectively.

Inferring Multi-slice Spatially Resolved Gene Expression from H&E-stained Histology Images with STMCL.

Methods

January 2025

School of Information Science and Engineering, Yunnan University, Kunming, 650500, Yunnan, China. Electronic address:

Spatial transcriptomics has significantly advanced the measurement of spatial gene expression in the field of biology. However, the high cost of ST limits its application in large-scale studies. Using deep learning to predict spatial gene expression from H&E-stained histology images offers a more cost-effective alternative, but existing methods fail to fully leverage the multimodal information provided by Spatial transcriptomics and pathology images.
