Purpose: Food insecurity is prevalent among patients with cancer. Gaps in our understanding of preferences for food assistance among Latino or Hispanic, immigrant, and people with multiple races and ethnicities limit uptake of food assistance interventions among these populations. We aimed to deeply understand the needs and preferences and barriers to food assistance intervention uptake among low-income, predominantly Latino or Hispanic, immigrant, and people with multiple races and ethnicities and cancer to inform development of tailored interventions.

PET tracers targeting monoamine oxidase B (MAO-B) are used to visualize reactive astrogliosis in the living brain. [F]SMBT-1, a MAO-B selective PET tracer, was developed by modifying the chemical structure of [F]THK5351.

Background: Alzheimer's Disease (AD) has a long preclinical stage, in which brain metabolic alterations precede the symptoms onset. Therefore, an early and proper diagnosis of AD is essential for prevention and therapeutic evaluation. Current diagnosis and staging procedures rely on neuroimaging techniques, such as positron emission tomography (PET), which require intensity normalization to ensure the correct interpretation of the data.

Background: To investigate the neuroanatomical characteristics at the whole-brain level associated with progression from amyloid-positive preclinical to prodromal Alzheimer's disease (AD) in relation to amyloid deposition and regional atrophy.
Method: We included 45 participants with amyloid-positive preclinical AD and 135 participants with prodromal AD matched 1:3 by age, sex, and education, from participants in the Korean Longitudinal Study on Cognitive Aging and Dementia and visitors to the dementia clinic of Seoul National University Bundang Hospital. All participants underwent F-florbetaben positron emission tomography and 3D structural T1-weighted magnetic resonance imaging.
Background: Brain MRI segmentation is required for quantitative PET analysis, in order to derive regional uptake and calculate uptake ratio relative to reference regions. FreeSurfer has been a popular method but is being supplanted by faster and more robust AI-driven methods. The objective of this work is to confirm that the use of Clario's novel AI segmentation method, whose impact was assessed towards various MRI endpoints, is also valid in the context of PET quantification.
