Total of 67 patients have been examined, out of which 35 patients had been persistent form of Allergic Rhinitis. 32 patients had been intermittent form of allergic rhinitis. It has been established, that in patients with allergic rhinitis the treatment with intranasal electrophoresis of vanadium induced the increase of vanadium content in blood, adrenocorticotropic hormone and cortisol in blood plasma, albumins and activity of histaminazae in blood serum as well as antioxidative activity of blood plasma, histaminopexic index and activity of catalasae.

Histidinemia results from a defect in the major catabolic pathway of histidine. Among the various alternative metabolic pathways, transamination, methylation and acetylation of histidine have been found to be increased, but increased decarboxylation to histamine has not been reported in histidinemia. In an attempt to confirm the possibility of increased decarboxylation of histidine, plasma histamine levels were determined by reversed-phase high speed liquid chromatography in histidinemic, atopic, and control groups.

Altogether 84 patients with duodenal ulcer were examined for a study of mesenchyma function. The blood level of oxyproline, the system of histamine-histaminase-histaminopexic index, and the level of serotonin before and after treatment were studied. The level of IgG, A, M and the amount of T- and B-lymphocytes were defined for assessment of the immune system.

Content of histamine, activity of diamine oxidase in rat brain, liver, lung tissues and blood as well as histaminopexic effect of blood serum were studied after treatment of the animals with oxygen at 0.3 MPa within 60 and 120 min. Hyperoxia caused dissimilar alterations in content of blood and tissue histamine: the first group of animals was characterized by a distinct impairment of histamine metabolism in tissues accompanied by a high level of the amine in blood, in the second group these alterations were not found.
