Aneurysms represent bulging of the weakened blood vessel area, as a result of cystic medial degeneration. Aneurysms chance of rupturing increases over time, resulting in bleeding and death. Therefore, patients with aortic aneurysms require frequent monitoring with magnetic resonance and computed tomography angiography, as well as undergoing open repair surgery and endovascular aneurysm repair.

Those cases with typical histopathology or demonstrated acid-fast bacilli on pleural needle biopsies and/or positive pleural fluid/tissue cultures and available computed tomography (CT) scans are included.
Objective: To determine the CT features of tuberculosis of the pleural space.

Of T4 disease of lung cancer, malignant pleurisy and intrathoracic dissemination are the greatest factor preventing a cure, despite the best efforts of surgery and various adjuvant therapy modalities. Preoperative evaluation of this disease is of first importance using conventional radiology and computed tomography. Of the 43 patients who were intraoperatively diagnosed to be the disease, 8 (18%) appeared on the conventional radiology as small amounts of pleural effusion, and 9 (21%) with a interlobar pleural thickening.

Forty two cases of pleural mesothelioma were reported. Macroscopic findings showed that 10 were localized and 32 diffuse. Histological diagnosis revealed 4 benign fibrous tumors and 38 malignant mesothelioma (epithelial type in 25, sarcomatous in 6, and mixed in 7).

The radiological manifestations of asbestos-related visceral pleural changes are described. Generally, visceral pleural reactions follow the mesothelial cells response to various injurious substances, including asbestos, and even saline. The changes are nonspecific.
