Introduction And Hypothesis: Pelvic organ prolapse (POP) surgery has evolved toward minimally invasive techniques. Laparoscopic sacrohysteropexy (LSHP) is associated with reduced morbidity and lower mesh exposure risks. This study evaluates the long-term outcomes of LSHP using the SERATEX SlimSling mesh for isolated uterine prolapse.

There are a variety of surgical conditions impacting the canine vagina and vestibule that require access through a caudal approach. A standard vertical episiotomy involves making an incision beginning ventral to the anus and extending ventrally through the dorsal commissure of the vulva and into the lumen of the vestibule and distal vagina. The objective of this study was to determine if complex vaginal procedures could be performed via a transverse perineal approach, thus eliminating the need to incise and reconstruct the vulva as performed in a standard episiotomy, and to evaluate the feasibility of vaginal resection with vulvar-sparing vestibular urethrostomy using this transverse approach.

Aim: This study aimed to examine the correlations between specific urethral function parameters observed in urodynamic testing and selected urethral characteristics evaluated by pelvic floor ultrasonography. Additionally, the presence of urethral funneling during straining was evaluated in female patients referred for surgical treatment of stress urinary incontinence.

Material And Methods: A retrospective study was conducted on 192 female patients referred for surgical treatment of stress urinary incontinence with the use of retropubic tension-free vaginal tape.

Introduction Explicit outcomes routinely measured across the life span following hypospadias surgery, defined by a core outcome set (COS), will harmonize and overcome reporting heterogeneity. Methods Age specific outcomes identified in a literature review were presented in a three round Delphi survey. Participants (professionals, parents and patients) were encouraged to suggest outcomes in the first Delphi round.

The predictive value of prostate spherical volume ratio in lower urinary tract symptoms and clinical progression of benign prostatic hyperplasia: a retrospective cohort study.

Int Urol Nephrol

January 2025

Department of Urology, School of Medicine, Shanghai East Hospital, Tongji University, No. 150 Jimo Road, Pudong New District, Shanghai, 200120, China.

Purpose: To evaluate the predictive value of Prostate Spherical Volume Ratio for Lower urinary tract symptoms and clinical progression of Benign prostatic hyperplasia. And compared with other prostatic anatomical parameters.

Methods: A total of 154 patients with Benign prostatic hyperplasia who underwent MRI and urodynamics were included in the study, while prostate anatomical parameters such as prostate spherical volume ratio, prostate volume, intravesical prostatic protrusion, prostatic urethral length and presumed circle area ratio were determined based on MRI measurements.
