Intoxication of sheep and cattle by recently occurred in Uruguay and Argentina in association with severe drought. Although the disease was experimentally reproduced in sheep in the 1970s, there is limited information on clinical and pathologic findings of sheep experimentally intoxicated by this beetle. Here, we described the clinical, gross, and microscopic findings in 3 sheep orally dosed with (treatment group, TG) and in 2 control sheep (control group, CG) dosed with distilled water.

Purpose: Tylvalosin Tartrate (TAT), a new-generation macrolide antibiotic, undergoes significant degradation in the stomach and in vivo rapid elimination upon oral administration, resulting in poor bioavailability. This study developed TAT enteric amorphous pellets by liquid layering (TAT/EAP-LL) with pH-sensitive and burst release characteristics, to enhance drug stability in the stomach and concentration enrichment in the duodenum.
Methods: The drug loading layer, isolation layer and enteric layer were formed on the surface of the blank core pellets.

infection can induce necrotic enteritis and lead to significant economic loss to the chicken industry. In this study, a xylanase (Xyn10C), which effectively promotes the growth of probiotics, and a protease, which degrades the biofilm of were analyzed for their ability to alleviate -induced necrotic enteritis in broiler chickens. A total of 300 male AA chickens were divided into five treatment groups (control, no enzyme and no challenge; Cp, no enzyme, challenge; Xyn, Xyn10C plus challenge; Xyn+Am, Xyn10C+Amylase plus challenge; Xyn+Ap, Xyn10C+Alkaline protease plus challenge).

Gallstone ileus (GSI) is a rare complication of gallstone disease. It occurs as a result of the passage of a stone from the biliary tract into the gastrointestinal tract via an abnormal pathway (bilio-enteric fistula). Chronic inflammatory processes result in gall bladder adhering and subsequently eroding into the intestines, leading to a fistula.

Unlabelled: Human noroviruses (HuNoVs) are the leading cause of acute gastroenteritis worldwide. Currently, there are no targeted antivirals for the treatment of HuNoV infection. Histo-blood group antigens (HBGAs) on the intestinal epithelium are cellular attachment factors for HuNoVs; molecules that block the binding of HuNoVs to HBGAs thus have the potential to be developed as antivirals.
