An electrochemically driven Ugi-azide reaction was established via C(sp)-H bond activation of tertiary amines to prepare α-aminomethyl tetrazoles within 2.5 h under mild conditions with remarkable tolerance of various functional groups. Besides, this electrochemical strategy not only obviated the needs of iodine, metal, and exogenous oxidant but possessed potential applicability of convenient large-scale synthesis.

Sea urchin-like covalent organic frameworks/TiO heterostructure for enhanced photocatalytic CO conversion.

J Colloid Interface Sci

January 2025

Key Laboratory of Functional Inorganic Material Chemistry, Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, School of Chemistry and Materials Science, Heilongjiang University, Harbin 150080, PR China. Electronic address:

Photocatalytic reduction of CO to valuable chemicals is an effective strategy to address the environmental problems and energy crisis. Covalent organic frameworks (COFs) are emerging materials known for their excellent diverse properties, albeit limited by special synthetic methods, including high temperature (120 °C) and the necessity of inert gas atmosphere. Herein, a novel synthesis method under room temperature and air was optimized to form TpPa-COF (TP-COF) by p-phenylenediamine (Pa) and 2,4,6-triformyl phloroglucinol (Tp) through electrostatic self-assembly.

Background: Limited standardized empirical research exists in France on the psychosocial implications of albinism, prompting an investigation into how affected persons adapt to their disabilities. Recent advancements in health psychology have led researchers to adopt a systemic approach, considering disabilities and involving close relatives in the adaptation process. The aim of this study was to explore the mediating role of dyadic coping within family dyads, where one is a person with albinism (PWA) and the other is a close relative.

Highly effective and efficient remediation of hazardous Ni waste from electroless electroplating wastewater remains a significant challenge. However, rather than regarding it as hazardous waste, Ni-electroplating wastewater can instead be considered a huge resource of Ni. Herein, we report a convenient hydrothermal strategy for upcycling Ni from nickel-electroplating wastewater into a carbon-doped Ni-P alloy (denoted as C/Ni-P) electrocatalyst for the oxidation of glycerol to formate.
