For the first time asymmetric and symmetric carboxytriazoleimidazolium derivatives with different structures were synthesized. The critical micellization concentration (CMC) value was estimated using a pyrene fluorescent probe and the solubility of Orange OT. The complexation ability of carboxytriazoleimidazolium derivatives toward bovine serum albumin (BSA) has been investigated by various physico-chemical methods: fluorescence spectroscopy, electrophoretic light scattering and circular dichroism.

Background: Klebsiella pneumoniae is a Gram-negative pathogen that has become a threat to public health worldwide due to the emergence of hypervirulent and multidrug-resistant strains. Cell-surface components, such as polysaccharide capsules, fimbriae, and lipopolysaccharides (LPS), are among the major virulence factors for K. pneumoniae.

Priority Research Centre for Reproductive Science, University of Newcastle, Callaghan, NSW, Australia.

Abstract: Sperm cryopreservation is a valuable tool for the long-term preservation of male fertility. Thus, determining the optimal technique for isolating spermatozoa post-thaw is vital to ensure recovery of the highest quality spermatozoa with minimal iatrogenic damage. This not only enhances the chances of successful conception but also reduces the risk of genetic damage in the embryo.

Background: Patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus have a high cardiovascular risk due, in part, to abnormalities of high-density lipoprotein mediated cholesterol efflux. The ATP-binding cassette A1 and G1 play a pivotal role in the regulation of cholesterol efflux. However, the regulation of these transporters in type 2 diabetes mellitus remains obscure.

Luspatercept (Reblozyl®) is a newly approved anti-anemic drug prohibited by the World Anti-Doping Agency. It promotes erythropoiesis by limiting apoptosis of immature erythroblasts and the risk of misuse by athletes for doping is high. Proposed detection methods have been published recently but only evaluated in vitro.
