Background Dentures are one of the main treatments dentists deliver to restore the oral function and aesthetics of individuals with missing teeth. Clinical denture fabrication and manufacturing is one of the main training modules for undergraduates during dental clinical training. However, students often face problems during denture delivery due to multiple factors causing discomfort to patients, affecting the quality of the denture and the patient's adaptation period to the denture.

A novel composite containing CoS and nitrogen-doped amorphous porous carbon (NAPC), denoted as CoS@NAPC, was successfully synthesized from a mixture of cobalt-based ZIF-12 and sulfur through one-pot pyrolysis. The morphology and microstructure of the composites are evaluated with appropriate spectroscopic techniques. CoS@NAPC was used to modify the glassy carbon electrode (GCE) to detect Nilotinib.

Nickel-rich cobalt-free layered oxide cathode with Ni contents no fewer than 90 % has received extensive attention in the field of lithium-ion batteries due to its excellent specific capacity and low cost, but serious capacity degeneration induced by structural deterioration and interfacial instability greatly hamper their further development. Herein, the Sb-modified LiNiMnO materials from the interface to interior have been designed and fabricated to overcome the above issues. On the one hand, the introduction of Sb-ion in interior of grains can generate Sb-O chemical bond with high dissociation energy, which contributes to reinforce the chemical and structural stability.

This investigation explores the potential of co-incorporating nickel (Ni) and cobalt (Co) into copper oxide (CuO) nanostructures for bifunctional electrochemical charge storage and oxygen evolution reactions (OER). A facile wet chemical synthesis method is employed to co-incorporate Ni and Co into CuO, yielding diverse nanostructured morphologies, including rods, spheres, and flake. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Raman analyses confirmed the formation of NiCo-CuO nanostructure, with minor phases of nickel oxide (NiO) and cobalt tetraoxide (CoO).

The factors controlling the catalytic activity in photochemical hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) are studied in detail for two macrocyclic cobalt compounds bearing two N-heterocyclic carbenes and two pyridyl donors ( and , where has a methoxy substituent on each pyridyl ligand). The present study adopts an aqueous photosystem consisting of EDTA, [Ru(bpy)] (bpy = 2,2'-bipyridine), and MV (MV = methylviologen) at pH = 5. Both catalysts are shown to promote HER in a similar efficiency (TON = 12-13 in 6 h), revealing a minor contribution of the electron-donating methoxy substituents.
