Background And Aims: This systematic review and meta-analysis evaluate the efficacy of moist versus non-moist dressings for split-thickness skin graft (STSG) donor sites, focusing on time to healing, pain management, and adverse events to guide clinical practice.
Methods: A comprehensive literature search was conducted across databases including Ovid/MEDLINE, Embase, Cochrane CENTRAL, Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews, and Scopus up to November 28, 2023. The study adhered to PRISMA guidelines.

Background And Aim: Mosaicism, which is characterized by the presence of wild-type and more than one mutant allele, poses a serious problem in zygotic gene modification through the clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeat (CRISPR)/CRISPR-associated protein 9 system. Therefore, we used pig embryos to compare the gene editing efficiencies achieved by combining electroporation and lipofection using different aminopeptidase N (APN)-targeting guide RNA (gRNA) sequences.
Materials And Methods: Six gRNAs (gRNA1-6) with different target sequences were designed to target APN.

Lignocellulosic waste is a prevalent byproduct of agricultural and forestry activities which is an excellent feedstock for the preparation of biochar. This research area is of interest to the scientific community due to its potential in environmental remediation. In this regard, this review examines the latest advancements in transforming lignocellulosic waste into biochar and explores recent innovations in enhancing its functionality for chromium ion removal.

Here, we show that AGO3 and AGO4, but not AGO2, localize to the sex chromatin of pachytene spermatocytes where they are required for transcriptional silencing of XY-linked genes, known as Meiotic Sex Chromosome Inactivation (MSCI). Using an mouse, we show that AGO3 and AGO4 are key regulators of spermatogenesis, orchestrating expression of meiosis-related genes during prophase I while maintaining silencing of spermiogenesis genes.

Designing catalysts with both activity and stability remains a grand challenge for the removal of chlorinated volatile organic compounds (CVOCs) by catalytic oxidation. Herein, the Ru-Mn subnanometric species encapsulated in ZSM-5 zeolite (RuMn@Z) was synthesized. It shows that the 90% conversion of dichloromethane is as low as 320 °C, which is significantly lower than that of Ru@Z (350 °C) and the impregnation catalyst (RuMn/Z, 355 °C).
