Introduction: Facing Mount Tai in the south and the Yellow River in the north, Zibo District is an important petrochemical base in China. The effect of air pollution on cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) in Zibo was unclear.
Methods: Daily outpatient visits of common CVDs including coronary heart disease (CHD), stroke, and arrhythmia were obtained from 2019 to 2022 in Zibo.

Background: We aimed to analyze the yet unclear correlation between air pollutant concentrations (AP) and out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) in Shenzhen, China.
Methods: A 5-year time series analysis of all OHCA events reported to the Shenzhen Emergency Center was conducted. Quasi-Poisson regression, controlling for meteorological variables (daily mean relative temperature and humidity) with multivariable fractional polynomial and using Fourier series to adjust for long-term trends and account for periodic patterns, was used to assess the association among particulate matter of 2.

Biomanufacturing offers a potentially sustainable alternative to deriving chemicals from fossil fuels. However, traditional biomanufacturing, which uses sugars as feedstocks, competes with food production and yields unfavourable land use changes, so more sustainable options are necessary. Cupriavidus necator is a chemolithoautotrophic bacterium capable of consuming carbon dioxide and hydrogen as sole carbon and energy sources, or formate as the source of both.

Objective: the study aimed to analyze the therapeutic effects of neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) combined with respiratory muscle training (RMT) on patients with moderate-to-severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
Methods: 135 patients with moderate/severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease were selected as the research object and randomly selected. 72 cases were divided into rehabilitation group and 63 cases in control group.

Environmental rules and regulations are essential instruments the government administration uses to control environmental problems in this era of advanced technologies and smooth economic growth. This paper aims to examine how environmental regulations, both mandatory and incentive-based, impact on carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions in the presence of urbanization, foreign trade, economic growth and energy efficiency (EE) in logistics transportation. The influence of explicating factors on dependent variables, such as the highest, lowest, and mean, is estimated using the quantile regression model.
