Background: 'Breast cancer' the most common cancer amongst females in India. Having good Quality of life (QoL) among the patients undergoing treatment is one of the vital and significant factors for ensuring holistic approach to treatment and well-being of cancer patients. The present study was conducted to assess the QoL and its determinants among breast cancer patients undergoing treatment at a tertiary care institute in western Maharashtra.

Objectives: Obesity is considered a significant risk factor for diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, coronary artery disease, and metabolic diseases, increasing considerably the risk for surgery. We have treated with ESWL a significant number of patients with the aim of avoiding operations which could be long and have associated complications due to the patient's condition.
Methods: From April 2000 to May 2002 we treated 150 obese patients with kidney and/or ureteral stones using a Nova Ultima lithotripter.
Purpose: To evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of transthoracic needle biopsy (TNB) in patients being treated for cancer in order to compare results from small and large pulmonary nodules and to study the efficiency of pathology versus cytology analysis.
Patients And Methods: 141 consecutive CT-guided TNBs were performed in 134 patients. Cancer had been diagnosed in all cases.

The aim of the present study was to investigate the incidence of adverse effects and the prognostic value of various risk factors in a large population of unselected hypertensive patients treated with the ACE inhibitor trandolapril. Among the 30 072 patients investigated in this post marketing retrospective study, 1813 patients (6.0 per cent) reported an adverse effect.

Materials And Methods: From 1977 to 1996, 49 direct carotido-cavernous fistulae were studied among the sixty some cases diagnosed over these 20 years. Five were caused by spontaneous rupture of an intracavernous aneurysm and the others were caused by trauma.
Results: The clinical presentation in 37 patients was exophthalmia with pulsating conjunctival hyperhemia and vascular murmur.
