Background: Human immunodeficiency virus continues to be a major global public health issue. Body mass index is a general indicator of nutritional status and has emerged as a powerful predictor of morbidity and mortality among adult PLHIV initiating antiretroviral therapy in resource-limited settings. However, there is a dearth of information regarding longitudinal changes in body mass index and its predictors among adult PLHIV in Ethiopia, particularly in the study area.

Background: Although non-surgical and surgical approaches have been developed to repair acute closed Achilles tendon ruptures, the medical community still lacks a definitive consensus on which approach is superior. This study describes a new minimally invasive internal splinting technique combined with knotless anchors for the treatment of 22 patients with acute closed Achilles tendon rupture.
Methods: A retrospective study was conducted involving 22 patients with acute closed Achilles tendon rupture who were treated with a minimally invasive internal splinting technique at Jingzhou Hospital of Yangtze University between January 2022 to October 2023.

Nitrate, a highly reactive form of inorganic nitrogen, is commonly found in aquatic environments. Understanding the dynamics of nitrate-N concentration in rivers and its interactions with other water-quality parameters is crucial for effective freshwater ecosystem management. This study uses advanced machine learning models to analyse water quality parameters and predict nitrate-N concentrations in the lower stretch of the Ganga River from the observations of six annual periods (2017 to 2022).

Cryptococcal pneumonia is a severe fungal infection of the respiratory system, predominantly caused by Cryptococcus neoformans. Its incidence is increasing, driven by evolving pathogen dynamics and heightened susceptibility among patient populations. This investigation aimed to assess the combined therapeutic efficacy of Fluconazole and Amphotericin B for cryptococcal pneumonia and to explore the roles of miR-15b and TGF-β1 in modulating treatment response.

The current study investigates the relationship between urbanization, solid waste generation, and environmental changes in Kota city from 2000 to 2023. The study employs Google Earth Engine (GEE) to analyze land use and land cover (LULC) classification, normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI), normalized difference modified water index (NDMWI), normalized difference built-up index (NDBI), land surface temperature (LST), and predict future LULC changes up to 2043. The results show that the built-up area increased by 122.
