Globally, breast cancer is the most frequent type of cancer, and its early diagnosis and screening can significantly improve the probability of survival and quality of life of those affected. Liquid biopsy-based targets such as circulating tumor cells, circulating tumor DNA, and exosomes have been instrumental in the early discovery of cancer, and have been found to be effective in stage therapy, recurrence monitoring, and drug selection. Biosensors based on these target related biomarkers convert the tested substances into quantifiable signals such as electrical and optical signals through signal transduction, which has the advantages of high sensitivity, simple operation, and low invasiveness.

Zebrafish are widely used in research, accounting for approximately 50% of all laboratory fish across Europe. Due to their rapid reproduction and aging, effective and practical euthanasia methods are necessary for managing large stocks. This study investigated whether adult zebrafish can be euthanised by delivering an electrical current directly via the water in their housing aquaria.

In this study, a method for predicting the thermal shock life of coatings is proposed, and a model for predicting the thermal shock life of coatings based on high temperature thermal shock life test and three-dimensional heat transfer analysis is established. Firstly, the thermal shock life of coatings at different cooling and heating cycle temperatures is obtained through a designed thermal shock life testing device for silicide coatings at a wide-temperature range from 500℃ to 3000℃. Secondly, the actual thickness of the coating and the continuous oxidation in the thermal shock life test are taken into consideration.

Reconstructing the volcanic history of the Kikai caldera, a large active volcano that produced a ~ 160 km eruption at 7.3 ka off the southern coast of Kyushu Island (southwest Japan), is crucial to assess potential future volcanic hazards at both regional and global scales. However, revealing its volcanic history before the 7.

To promote the recycling of waste glass and satisfy the demands of environmental sustainability for ultrahigh performance concrete (UHPC), in this study, glass sand was employed to partially or entirely replace machine-made sand, and steel fibres were incorporated to fabricate ultrahigh performance shotcrete (UHPS). The effects of glass sand and steel fibres on the mechanical and electrical properties of composite materials were analysed in this study. Furthermore, alkali‒silica reaction (ASR) tests and microstructural analyses were conducted.
