The use of commercial disinfectant in combination with other antimicrobial agent such as ZnO nanoparticles to improve disinfection efficacy could be a promising strategy in the control of pathogenic bacteria. In this context, the aim of study was to determine the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of sodium hypochlorite disinfectant, ZnO nanoparticles as well as Mn-, Ce-, and Co-doped ZnO nanoparticles (doping concentrations 10%, 20%, 30%) against gram-negative bacteria Escherichia coli and Salmonella Typhimurium, and gram-positive bacteria Staphylococcus aureus and Listeria monocytogenes using the broth microdilution method CLSI M07-A10, while the checkerboard microdilution method was carried out to assess the type interaction of sodium hypochlorite in combination with pure ZnO nanoparticles. The results specified that ZnO nanoparticles were agents that required higher concentrations to inhibit bacterial growth than sodium hypochlorite, whereby a synergistic effect was achieved in their combination.

is a well-known cosmopolitan weed known by several common names: thorn apple (due to the appearance of its fruits), Angel's trumpet (linked to its flowers), loco seed (referring to the hallucinogenic properties of its seeds), jimson weed (originating from the first recorded poisoning involving this plant), and apple of Peru (indicating the plant's origin). All parts of the plant contain the tropane alkaloids hyoscyamine, scopolamine, and atropine together with several minor alkaloids, which cause poisoning such as typical anticholinergic syndrome with neuropsychiatric effects. A review of 114 papers from various databases (Scopus, Web of Science, PubMed, and Google Scholar) revealed that poisoning incidents involving this plant have been relatively common from 2001 to 2024.

Background: The objective was to develop a biological age prediction model (NC-BA) for the Chinese population to enrich the relevant studies in this population. And to investigate the association between accelerated age and NAFLD.
Methods: On the basis of the physical examination data of people without noninfectious chronic diseases (PWNCDs) in Nanchang, Jiangxi, China, the biological age measurement method was developed via three feature selection methods (all-subset regression, LASSO regression (LR), and recursive feature elimination) and three machine learning algorithms (generalized linear model (GLM), support vector machine, and deep generalized linear model (deep GLM)).
