Rationale: Cardiac papillary fibroelastoma (CPF) is a rare cardiac tumor that can lead to severe and potentially fatal complications such as stroke, myocardial infarction, and sudden cardiac death. The rarity of CPF makes it challenging for clinicians to diagnose and treat, highlighting the importance of timely and accurate diagnosis to prevent catastrophic outcomes. This case report aims to contribute to the clinical understanding of CPF involving the mitral valve (MV), providing insights into diagnosis and treatment strategies.

Unlabelled: Mitral annular calcification (MAC) is a chronic degenerative process involving the fibrous support structure of the mitral valve. The prevalence of this condition significantly increases with age, and is higher in patients with cardiovascular risk factors or end-stage renal disease. However, patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) may develop atherosclerosis and MAC at a relatively young age.

Background: Focal pulsed-field ablation (F-PFA) integrated in electroanatomical mapping (EAM) systems allows tailored lesion sets in patients with atrial fibrillation (AF).
Objective: To determine feasibility, safety and 6-months outcome of F-PFA for a tailored substrate-based catheter ablation (CA) approach in patients with AF and advanced atrial substrate.
Methods: Consecutive patients with AF and advanced atrial substrate treated by a F-PFA system (Cardiofocus) through contact-force sensing catheters integrated in EAM systems were prospectively enrolled.

Minimally invasive mitral valve surgery (MIMVS) is revolutionizing the field of cardiothoracic surgery by offering patients less invasive alternatives to conventional sternotomy. This article reviews recent research and studies on the outcomes, challenges, and considerations surrounding MIMVS. Comparative studies reveal that while MIMVS offers advantages such as shorter hospital stays and reduced recovery times, it shows no significant differences in mortality or long-term quality-of-life outcomes compared to traditional methods.

Background: In patients with mechanical aortic and mitral valves requiring catheter ablation of ventricular tachycardia (VT), a technique for access from the right atrium (RA) to the left ventricle (LV) via puncture of the inferoseptal process of the LV was previously described in a single-center series.
Objectives: This study sought to report the multicenter experience of VT ablation using this novel LV access approach.
Methods: We assembled a multicenter registry of patients with double mechanical valves who underwent VT ablation with RA-to-LV access.
