Objective: To develop an innovative and effective educational intervention to inform patients about the need for osteoporosis treatment and to determine factors associated with its online uptake.

Methods: Postmenopausal women with a prior fracture and not currently using osteoporosis therapy were eligible to be included in the Activating Patients at Risk for OsteoPOroSis (APROPOS). Four nominal groups with a total of 18 racially/ethnically diverse women identified osteoporosis treatment barriers.

Perihepatitis or Fitz-Hugh syndrome, peritonitis located in the right hypochondriasis (RH), is a relatively rare affectation. However, the HIV-AIDS pandemic has brought about the emergence and re-emergence of disease-states either uncommon or formerly on the decline as well as the appearance of opportunistic illness. We report the results of a retrospective study conducted in the National Hospital of Bobo-Dioulasso (Burkina-Faso) between 1 June 1997 and 31 December 1999 in an effort to contribute to a wider vision of diseases associated with HIV-AIDS.

The aim of this study was to collect different problems seen in long-term evolution of patients who had anatomical cardiac transplantation and to compare with those seen in patients with standard transplantation. During the mean follow-up of 36 months, we analysed different data of 60 patients mean aged 51, who underwent anatomical cardiac transplantation. Six patients (10%) died within the 30 days after surgery.
