Clinical study of the efficacy of oliphen treatment in generalized periodontitis in comparison with galascorbin treatment was conducted. Oliphen arrested the inflammatory process in the periodontium quickly and effectively and shortened the duration of treatment by half. Under its effect lipid peroxidation became less intense, the level of malonic dealdehyde decreased, and the activity of catalase in the oral fluid of patients with periodontitis increased.

Clinical efficacy of ambene-galascorbic solution was studied in 58 patients with ulcerative necrotic lesions of the buccal mucosa. The results were assessed by clinical and laboratory parameters. Local application of ambene-galascorbic complex was found to be safe and effective in patients with ulcerative necrotic lesions of the buccal mucosa of various origin.

The trial included 155 patients with destructive pulmonary tuberculosis: 60 on conventional antibacterial therapy (isoniazid, rifampicin, streptomycin), 95 on intensive chemotherapy (isoniazid, rifampicin, streptomycin, pirazinamid or ethambutol, vitamins for initial 2-3 months). 69 patients from the latter group received adjuvant antioxidants (tocopherol acetate or galascorbin) in combination with one of the antihypoxants (piracetam, calcii pangamas, piriditol). The intensive chemotherapy promoted a decrease in duration of bacterial discharge, destruction discontimation, cavernous healing, reduced incidence rates of side effects.

Clinical and immunological examinations of adults and children with Melkersson-Rossolimo-Rosenthal syndrome have revealed immunity deficiency: a decrease of the number of T and B cells, a low immunoglobulin content and the presence of the ++neuro-allergic syndrome according to the increased level of cerebral antibodies. The role of deembiogenetic stigmas in the diagnosis establishment has been demonstrated. The authors suggest the use of immunomodulating therapy including interferogens and immunostimulants of T and B cells (galascorbin and myelopide).
