Objective To investigate the effects of lipopolysaccharide (LPS) on human pulmonary vascular endothelial cells (HPVECs) cytoskeleton and perform biological analysis of the microRNA (miRNA) spectrum. Methods The morphology of HPVECs was observed by microscope, the cytoskeleton by FITC-phalloidin staining, and the expression of VE-cadherin was detected by immunofluorescence cytochemical staining; the tube formation assay was conducted to examine the angiogenesis, along with cell migration test to detect the migration, and JC-1 mitochondrial membrane potential to detect the apoptosis. Illumina small-RNA sequencing was used to identify differentially expressed miRNAs in NC and LPS group.

Mesenchymal stromal cells-based regenerative orthopedic therapies have been used in cats as a promising and innovative therapeutic approach to enhance the repair of bone defects. Adipose tissue-derived stromal cells (ADSCs) can be obtained from two main sites-subcutaneous and visceral-with established differences regarding structure, composition, cell content, and functionality. However, in cats, to the best of the authors' knowledge, no studies have been conducted to compare the functional activity of the ADSCs isolated from the two sites, and the impact of these differences on the induced osteogenic potential.

Androgens rapidly regulate synaptic plasticity in hippocampal neurones, but the underlying mechanisms remain unclear. In this study, we carried out a comprehensive bioinformatics analysis of functional similarities between androgen receptor (AR) and the synaptic protein postsynaptic density 95 (PSD95) to evaluate the effect. Using different measurements and thresholds, we obtained consistent results illustrating that the two proteins were significantly involved in similar pathways.
