Gene expression varies stochastically across genders, racial groups, and health statuses. Deciphering these patterns is crucial for identifying informative genes, classifying samples, and understanding diseases like cancer. This study analyzes 11,252 bulk RNA-seq samples to explore expression patterns of 19,156 genes, including 10,512 cancer tissue samples and 740 normal samples.

Street trees play an important role in the city, but large-scale, multi-city inventory data are very limited to date, which can help to define geo-climatic and social development influences on urban forest characteristics. In this paper we speculate that at national level, geocliamtes and street development shape the different street tree characteristics, and large scale street View images (SVIs)-measurements favor the identification of factors responsible for the street tree variations in China. By collecting urban trees from 11 metropolises through SVIs method, an inventory of urban trees in China, including 201,942 trees at 9807 sites, was obtained from a latitude gradient from tropical 18N to cold-temperate 45N.

The existing research on coal gangue identification based on vibration usually assumes that coal gangue particles are ideal shapes. To understand the vibration response difference in hydraulic support caused by coal and gangue with real shapes, this paper uses a three-dimensional (3D) scanning technology to determine the real shape of coal particles. The process of coal and gangue impacting the tail beam at different angles was simulated in the LS-DYNA software package, and the effects of shape parameters, velocity, and coal strength on the difference in vibration signals caused by the two were analyzed statistically.

Objective: To determine whether or not chronic disease positively impacts medical costs among the rural elderly in China and to calculate medical expenditure induced by chronic disease between different groups of the rural elderly, as well as provide insight into the factors that affect medical losses induced by chronic disease among different household registration groups and different New Rural Pension Scheme statuses.
Design: To estimate the share of medical expenses induced by chronic disease, this article uses a two-part model and a four-part model to analyze the causal effect of chronic disease on medical services and then uses a counter-factual method to estimate the share of medical expenses.
Setting: The rapid development of China has changed nearly every aspect of life for the rural elderly.

The attachment process and response to an antitumor reagent for cultured cells were monitored with a quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) combined with a microscope. To fit the experimentally obtained curves of the resonant frequency, model equations of resonant frequency curves were built, and parameters of time constants and scale coefficients were determined. For the cell attachment process, a first-order lag response curve well fit the experimental curves.
