Excessive use of gentamicin sulfate can cause severe nephrotoxicity and ototoxicity, abnormal levels of Fe intake can also cause serious damage to body. Therefore, establishing a fast and accurate detection method for the above-mentioned substances is of great significance. However, traditional detection methods such as high-performance liquid chromatography still have certain problems such as high cost and complex operation.

A key role in lessening humanity's continuous fight against cancer could be played by photodynamic therapy (PDT), a minimally invasive treatment employed in the medical care of a range of benign disorders and malignancies. Cancerous tissue can be effectively removed by using a light source-excited photosensitizer. Singlet oxygen and reactive oxygen species are produced the photosensitizer as a result of this excitation.

Secreted bacterial type III secretion system (T3SS) proteins are essential for successful infection by many human pathogens. Both T3SS translocator SipC and effector SipA are critical for infection by subversion of the host cell cytoskeleton, but the precise molecular interplay between them remains unknown. Here, using cryo-electron microscopy, we show that SipA binds along the F-actin grooves with a unique binding pattern.

The reaction of aromatic ring-substituted isoselenocyanates with 2-thiopheacetic and 4-pyridinecarboxylic acid hydrazides yielded selenosemicarbazides which were further converted into previously unknown 1,2,4-triazole-3-selones and 3,3'-di(4H-1, 2,4-triazolyl)diselenides. The structures of the obtained compounds were studied by NMR spectroscopy, IR spectroscopy, and high-resolution mass spectroscopy (HR-MS). The bactericidal and fungicidal activity of some obtained compounds was evaluated in molecular modeling studies such as docking and simulation studies.
