Background: Some studies have suggested that complications during pregnancy, such as preeclampsia, leiomyoma during pregnancy, oxytocin induction, and mode of delivery, may be risk factors for neonatal jaundice. Herein, we applied Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis to investigate a causal association between pregnancy disorders and neonatal jaundice.
Methods: Data related to neonatal jaundice and pregnancy disorders (including pre-eclampsia or eclampsia, gestational diabetes, and gestational edema) were sourced from the FinnGen Consortium and Integrated Epidemiology Unit (IEU) databases.

This study employs Mendelian randomization (MR) approach to investigate the potential causal association between genetic variants associated with gut microbiota, inflammatory factors, and the risk of uterine fibroids development. We extracted data on 211 types of gut microbiota, 91 inflammatory factors, and uterine fibroids occurrence from genome-wide association studies and applied the inverse-variance weighted (IVW) method for analysis. To further assess the robustness of our MR analysis, we conducted sensitivity tests including Cochrane's Q test, the MR-Egger intercept test, the MR-PRESSO global test, and a leave-one-out analysis.

Objectives: Hypertension and hypertensive disorders of pregnancy (HDP) are common diseases in women at different stages, which affect women's physical and mental health, and the impact of the latter on the offspring cannot not be ignored. Observational studies have investigated the correlation between uterine leiomyoma (UL) and the above conditions, but the relationship remains unclear. In this study, we employed two-sample Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis to assess the association between UL and hypertension, HDP, as well as blood pressure.

The Venetian blind sign is a radiologic sign seen on pelvic ultrasound. It is classically associated with adenomyosis and, less commonly, uterine fibroids. It appears as alternating vertical stripes of hyperechoic and hypoechoic bands, resembling the horizontal slatted window blinds for which it is named.

Background: Causality between plasma triglyceride (TG) levels and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) risk remains controversial despite more than four decades of study and two recent landmark trials, STRENGTH, and REDUCE-IT. Further unclear is the association between TG levels and non-atherosclerotic diseases across organ systems.
Methods: Here, we conducted a phenome-wide, two-sample Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis using inverse-variance weighted (IVW) regression to systematically infer the causal effects of plasma TG levels on 2600 disease traits in the European ancestry population of UK Biobank.
