Our method for evaluating the time course and intensity of antibiotics and other drugs transport in the predominant direction between the blood and lymph in humans promotes a more objective evaluation of drug circulation mechanisms, which is essential for determining the time of their repeated administration and route of administration. Calculation of the lymph/blood difference coefficient, based on parallel repeated measurements of the drug concentration in the lymph and blood, and of the lymph/blood coefficient provides complete data on the direction and time course of drug transport between the lymph and blood in the predominant direction.

The author revealed an increase of dienic conjugates in 391 patients under the effect of drugs in patients with drug intolerance and a study is also presented in 46 patients with good tolerance to drugs. It is shown that the dienic test has an information value as to intolerance of penicillin, streptomycin, tetraolean, analgin, novocaine and vitamin B1.

Sherman propionic acid bacilli were sensitive to benzylpenicillin, ampicillin, ceporin, tetracyclines, oleandomycin, oletetrin, tetraolean, sigmamycin, levomycetin and furadonine. Methicillin, oxacillin, monomycin, kanamycin, polymyxin and furazolidone had an insignificant effect on the above organism. The subbacteriostatic concentrations of methicillin, oxacillin, streptomycin, monomycin, kanamycin, neomycin, tetraolean, sigmamycin, polymyxin M and ristomycin increased the biosynthesis of vitamin B12 by Sherman propionic acid bacilli, while benzylpenicillin, ampicillin, tetracyclines, oleandomycin, oletetrin, levomycetin and furadonine in the subbacteriostatic concentrations inhibited this process.
