Movement disorders such as Parkinson's disease (PD) and cervical dystonia (CD) are associated with abnormal neuronal activity in the globus pallidus internus (GPi). Reduced firing rate and presence of spiking bursts are typical for CD, whereas PD is characterized by high frequency tonic activity. This research aims to identify the most important pallidal spiking parameters to classify these conditions.

Clarifying the potential relationship between the microstructure of nanoconfined choline chloride/urea (ChClU) and CO absorption performance is key to understanding the abnormal increase in CO under nanoconfinement. In this study, we used molecular dynamics simulations and grand canonical Monte Carlo (GCMC) to systematically study the mechanism underlying the absorption of CO by ChClU within nanoslits. According to the spatial distribution, ChClU can form two different laminar regions within nanoslits, namely, the interfacial region (region I) and beyond region I (region II).

Background: T-shaped uterus is a subclass of dysmorphic uteri according to the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE) classification. A T-shaped uterus might be related to poor reproductive outcomes or pregnancy complications. We aim to compare the success rates of fertilization (IVF) between individuals with a normal uterus and those with a T-shaped uterus identified through Hysterosalpingography.

Viscosity is a fundamental property in biological systems, influencing organelle function and molecular diffusion. Abnormal viscosity is associated with diseases such as metabolic disorders, neurodegeneration, and cancer. Lysosomes, central to cellular degradation and recycling, are sensitive to viscosity changes, which can disrupt enzymatic activity and cellular homeostasis.
