Background: This study aims to assess the effectiveness of low-dose Escitalopram (10 mg) or low-dose Desvenlafaxine (25 mg) combined with mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) in addressing challenges in treating generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), particularly in patients resistant to conventional therapies.
Methods: A prospective cohort study was conducted with individuals diagnosed with treatment-resistant GAD. group A included patients unresponsive to citalopram, imipramine, paroxetine, and sertraline, who were then treated with low-dose Escitalopram (10 mg) combined with MBCT.

Piperine is an amide alkaloid isolated from the black pepper plant. This study examined the pain‑relieving activity of piperine against paclitaxel (PTX)‑induced neuropathy. Male mice were divided into 6 groups: Sham‑operated group (remained intact), PTX group (PTX‑treated mice receiving normal saline), PTX+ piperine 10, 25, and 50 mg/kg groups (PTX‑treated mice receiving piperine) and positive control group (PTX‑treated mice receiving imipramine 10 mg/kg).

Background/aim: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a primary liver cancer with high mortality rates worldwide, necessitating effective therapeutic strategies. Imipramine demonstrates the potential to augment standard treatments of different cancers, highlighting its therapeutic promise in oncology. This study aimed to investigate the potential regulation of imipramine on HCC.
