Background: Slow activation areas, characterized by decreased conduction velocities in the left atrium, are commonly observed in patients with persistent atrial fibrillation (PeAF). However, it remains unclear whether the ablation of slow activation areas combined with pulmonary vein isolation (PVI) improves clinical outcomes in these patients.
Methods: This single-center retrospective study included patients who underwent catheter ablation for PeAF.

Tactile sensation and recognition in the human brain are indispensable for interaction between the human body and the surrounding environment. It is quite significant for intelligent robots to simulate human perception and decision-making functions in a more human-like way to perform complex tasks. A combination of tactile piezoelectric sensors with neuromorphic transistors provides an alternative way to achieve perception and cognition functions for intelligent robots in human-machine interaction scenarios.

Objectives: In the present study with a large cohort, we aimed to characterize intracerebral seizure onset patterns (SOP) of mesial temporal lobe epilepsy (mTLE), with or without hippocampal sclerosis (HS) as identified via magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
Methods: We retrospectively analyzed 255 seizures of 76 consecutive patients with mTLE explored by stereoelectroencephalography (SEEG), including HS-mTLE (n = 52) and non-HS- mTLE (n = 24). Relevant results were obtained by a combination of spectral analysis and manual review.

Background And Purpose: Atrial fibrillation (AF), a common arrhythmia, is linked with atrial electrical and structural changes, notably low voltage areas (LVAs) which are associated with poor ablation outcomes and increased thromboembolic risk. This study aims to evaluate the efficacy of a deep learning model applied to 12‑lead ECGs for non-invasively predicting the presence of LVAs, potentially guiding pre-ablation strategies and improving patient outcomes.
Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on 204 AF patients, who underwent catheter ablation.

Multifunctional organic light-emitting transistors (OLETs), which combine electric-switching and light-producing capabilities into a single device, are attracting increasing interest as promising candidates for new-generation display technology. Despite advancements in the design of organic luminescent materials and the optimization of device geometry configurations, maintaining operating voltage low while enhancing optical performances remains a key challenge in horizontally structured OLETs. Here, a simple and effective interfacial engineering strategy is employed to improve the optical properties of horizontal OLETs operating at low voltage, by introducing ultraviolet ozone (UVO)-induced surface modification on high-k dielectrics.
