Background: Atorvastatin (ATO) is an HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor used to lower blood cholesterol, but it causes renal injury in high doses. Thymoquinone (TQ), is a natural antioxidant that has been shown to protect the kidney through its anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, & antiapoptotic, effects.

Objective: The current study aimed to investigate whether posttreatment TQ could reverse ATOinduced renal injury, and the possible mechanism of action by which TQ produced such an effect.

Objectives: To investigate the natural product sulforaphane (SFN) in protection of membranous nephropathy (MN) by inhibiting oxidative stress-associated podocyte pyroptosis.

Materials And Methods: A passive Heymann nephritis (PHN) model was established and treated with SFN. Clinical manifestations were examined by testing 24-hr urine protein, albumin, total cholesterol, triglyceride, high-density and low-density lipoprotein levels.

Metastasis of alveolar soft part sarcoma (ASPS) to the adrenal gland is infrequent, with only eight patients reported in the literature. Here we present an ASPS in an adolescent girl presented as a hypervascular adrenal incidentaloma along with a review of the available literature. This study aims to serve as a reference to aid in the pre-operative radiological and histopathological diagnosis of this rare entity.

The nutritional status of fish is essential for its health, experimental studies, and aquaculture practices. The current study investigated the impact of food deprivation on biochemical parameters, histology of skin, gill, and kidney tissues, and ultrastructure of gills in Clarias batrachus. Fish were subjected to food deprivation for 2, 7, and 15 days resulting in (a) significant increase in plasma cortisol levels, (b) no significant changes in plasma osmolality and plasma glucose content, and (c) significant decrease in liver and muscle glycogen contents.
