Objective: To construct algorithms with a sequential decision analysis pathway for monitoring of the fetal heart rate and managing fetal heart rate bradycardia, late decelerations and tachycardia during labour.
Population: Low-risk pregnant women in labour with singleton cephalic term pregnancies.

To study the feasibility of assessing fetal heart rate (FHR) acceleration by a fetal doptone and fetal movements (FM) as perceived by the mother and observed by the attendant in response to a vibroacoustic stimulus. Baseline FHR and it's response during the first minute after vibroacoustic stimulation was observed by a fetal doptone with a digital display on 317 occasions in 201 pregnancies (81.4% of whom were high risk) during antenatal visits in the third trimester.

A 29-year-old woman, primipara, was admitted to our clinic at 17 weeks' gestation on June 26, 1979 with a history of sudden onset of severe headache and vomiting, followed by unconsciousness fit for 30 minutes. The patient displayed typical features of subarachnoid hemorrhage.
