Background: Peristomal pyoderma gangrenosum (PPG) is a non-infectious neutrophilic dermatosis most commonly seen in the context of ostomies in inflammatory bowel disease. The lack of established treatment guidelines and high-quality evidence in the form of randomized controlled trials present a major challenge in PPG management, owing to the rarity of the condition. Treatment can be further complicated by difficulties in maintaining the stoma pouch seal with conventional topical corticosteroids.

The superior hypogastric plexus (SHP) contains afferent nociceptive fibers from the pelvic structures, thus the SHP block is employed in the chronic pelvic pain (CPP) treatment in patients who do not respond to conservative treatments. A 60-year-old female patient, who did not respond to conservative treatment, underwent SHP neurolytic block after a successful diagnostic block. An excessive oblique angle approach was applied due to physical restrictions, the needle passed through the intervertebral disc resulting in the contralateral side SHP block, and the procedure was also repeated to the other side SHP.

The choice of modality of treatment for unruptured intracranial aneurysms is based on various clinical aspects and the patient's preference. Financial considerations should not be among these. To evaluate any financial variations between endovascular and microsurgical treatment of unruptured intracranial aneurysms in the Swiss healthcare system, we retrospectively reviewed 100 consecutive aneurysm cases treated as inpatients in our institution.
