The aim of the study is to evaluate the possibility to implement machine learning to create a digital auditory profile for elderly patients and to analyze the hearing aid fitting efficacy depending on involvement of the peripheral and central auditory pathways in a pathological process. Data analysis of 375 people aged 60-93 years is presented. 355 patients with chronic bilateral hearing loss (230 of them used hearing aids) were included in the main group, and 20 normal hearing elderly people were included in the control group.

Objectives: To investigate whether the lactate dehydrogenase D (LDHD) gene deficiency causes juvenile-onset gout.
Methods: We used whole-exome sequencing for two families and a targeted gene-sequencing panel for an isolated patient. d-lactate dosages were analysed using ELISA.
The Chibanis represent the population of aging former immigrant workers who arrived in France in the 1970s in order to take up employment. Most of them still live in immigrant hostels, which are not appropriate for an older population. This anthropological study was conducted on Chibanis living in an immigrant hostel in the 15th arrondissement of Marseille.
