Background: Spinal epidural arachnoid cysts (SEACs) are rare, non-neoplastic pathologies that can cause compressive myelopathy. Preoperative identification of the exact fistula location is crucial for minimally invasive management.
Methods: This single-center retrospective study included 27 patients with SEACs who underwent "double-needle puncture myelography" to precisely localize the fistula before minimally invasive surgery.

Purpose: Vesicoureteral reflux (VUR) grade has been used as a primary factor in assessing a child's risk of clinical outcomes. Unfortunately, grade has poor inter-observer reliability. We hypothesized that more objective and reliable VCUG parameters including the distal ureteral diameter ratio (UDR) and volume at onset of VUR (Vol) may either augment or replace the current grading system to provide more reliable prediction of clinical outcomes.

Introduction: Vesicoureteral reflux (VUR) is a common urologic condition affecting approximately 1% of all children. Surgical success often depends on the grade of VUR, as patients with grades 4 or 5 have been have a greater risk for postoperative complications. Unplanned urinary catheter placement (UCP) postoperatively and prolonged length of hospital stay (LOS) are indicative of unexpected complications.

Objective: Vaginal prolapse is a known complication after radical cystectomy, requiring additional procedures in 10% of the patients. This results from loss of level I and II vaginal support due to the removal of pelvic structures. In addition, a neobladder urinary diversion, with Valsalva voiding, predisposes to vaginal prolapse.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate and compare positive cystography techniques at 5%, 10%, and 20%, as well as three different double-contrast protocols for detecting radiolucent uroliths with a diameter of less than 3.0 mm in dogs. Six cadavers were used, one was selected at random to represent the negative control, and the others were submitted to urolith implantation in the bladder by urethral catheter.
