Purpose: Neurotypical individuals show a robust "global precedence effect (GPE)" when processing hierarchically structured visual information. However, the auditory domain remains understudied. The current research serves to fill the knowledge gap on auditory global-local processing across the broader autism phenotype under the tonal language background.

Monitoring wetland cover changes and land surface temperatures using remote sensing and GIS in Göksu Delta.

Integr Environ Assess Manag

January 2025

Faculty of Fine Arts, Design and Architecture Department of Landscape Architecture, Tekirdağ Namık Kemal University, Tekirdağ, Türkiye.

Wetlands provide necessary ecosystem services, such as climate regulation and contribution to biodiversity at global and local scales, and they face spatial changes due to natural and anthropogenic factors. The degradation of the characteristic structure signals potential severe threats to biodiversity. This study aimed to monitor the long-term spatial changes of the Göksu Delta, a critical Ramsar site, using remote sensing techniques.

Constructing well-dispersed active phase spontaneous redox for electrochemical nitrate reduction to ammonia.

In this study, a distinctive multiple core-shell structure of Co nanoparticles inserted into N-doped carbon dodecahedron@Co hydroxide (Co/NCD@Co(OH)) was synthesized a spontaneous redox reaction between metallic Co and NO, ultimately materializing the fine dispersion and exposure of the active sites. The electronic interaction existing between the Co/NCD core and the Co(OH) shell brings a synergistic effect, conspicuously lessens the overpotential, and reinforces the yield-rate and faradaic efficiency of NH for electrochemical nitrate-ammonia conversion. This study underlines the spontaneous redox between the catalysts and substrate, rendering it as a synthetic strategy for designing genuine and well-dispersed active sites.

An accurate potential energy model, explicitly designed for studying scattering and treating the spin-orbit and nonadiabatic couplings on an equal footing, is proposed for the S + Ar system. The model is based on the Effective Relativistic Coupling by Asymptotic Representation (ERCAR) approach, building the geometry dependence of the spin-orbit interaction a diabatisation scheme. The resulting full diabatic model is used in close-coupling calculations to compute inelastic scattering cross sections for de-excitation from the S(D) fine structure level into the P multiplet.

Herein, we demonstrate a two-in-one strategy for efficient neutral electrosynthesis of H2O2 via two-electron oxygen reduction reaction (2e-ORR), achieved by synergistically fine-modulating both the local microenvironment and electronic structure of indium (In) single atom (SA) sites. Through a series of finite elemental simulations and experimental analysis, we highlight the significant impact of phosphorous (P) doping on an optimized 2D mesoporous carbon carrier, which fosters a favorable microenvironment by improving the mass transfer and O2 enrichment, subsequently leading to an increased local pH levels. Consequently, an outstanding 2e-ORR performance is observed in neutral electrolytes, achieving over 95% selectivity for H2O2 across a broad voltage range of 0.
