Objective: To identify the most effective treatment modality for achieving favorable outcomes in early glottic tumors with anterior commissure involvement (ACI).
Data Sources: PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, and ScienceDirect.
Review Methods: Random-effects proportional meta-analysis model is used to evaluate the oncological and functional outcomes of transoral laser microsurgery (TLM) versus radiation therapy (RT) in early glottic (T1-T2) cancer with ACI.

The role of autonomic nervous system (ANS) modulation in chronic neck pain remains elusive. Transcutaneous vagus nerve stimulation (t-VNS) provides a novel, non-invasive means of potentially mitigating chronic neck pain. This study aimed to assess the effects of ANS modulation on heart rate variability (HRV), pain perception, and neck disability.

In the complex environment of fully mechanized mining faces, the current object detection algorithms face significant challenges in achieving optimal accuracy and real-time detection of mine personnel and safety helmets. This difficulty arises from factors such as uneven lighting conditions and equipment obstructions, which often lead to missed detections. Consequently, these limitations pose a considerable challenge to effective mine safety management.

Successful surgical outcomes in head and neck cancer depend on the accurate identification of resection margins. Effective communication between surgeons and pathologists is critical, but is often jeopardised by challenges in sampling and orienting anatomically complex specimens. This pilot study aims to evaluate the use of 3D scanning of surgical specimens as a tool to improve communication and optimise the pathology sampling process.
