Background: The molecular composition of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) is often used as a key indicator of biochemical alterations within distinct brain and spinal cord fluid compartments. The CSF protein content in lumbar CSF samples is widely employed as a biomarker matrix for diagnosing brain-related pathological conditions. CSF lipid profiles may serve as promising complementary diagnostics, but it remains unresolved if the lipid distribution is consistent along the neuroaxis.

Objective: Colorectal cancer (CRC) is conventionally classified as right sided, left sided, and rectal cancer. Clinicopathological, molecular features and risk factors do not change abruptly along the colorectum, and variations exist even within the refined subsites, which may contribute to inconsistencies in the identification of clinically relevant CRC biomarkers. We generated a CRC metabolome map to describe the association between metabolites, diagnostic and survival heterogeneity in cancers of different subsites of the colorectum.

Background: Myocardial infarction (MI) is a serious cardiovascular disease, which presents different pathophysiological changes with the prolongation of the disease. Compound danshen dripping pills (CDDP) has obvious advantages in MI treatment and widely used in the clinic. However, the current studies were mostly focused on the endpoint of CDDP intervention, lacking the dynamic attention to the disease process.

Abalone, a highly sought-after aquatic product, possesses significant nutritional value. In this study, the relationship between aroma characteristics and lipid profile of abalone (Haliotis discus hannai) during seasonal fluctuation and thermal processing were profiled via volatolomics and lipidomics. 46 aroma compounds and 371 lipids were identified by HS-SPME-GC-MS and UPLC-Q-Extractive Orbitrap-MS, respectively.

Electronic address:

In farmed fish, diets rich in palm oil have been observed to promote abnormal lipid build-up in the liver, subsequently leading to physiological harm and disease onset. Emerging research suggests that integrating phospholipids into the feed could serve as a potent countermeasure against hepatic impairments induced by vegetable oil consumption. Phosphatidylcholine is the most abundant type among phospholipids.
