Traumatic manubriosternal joint dislocations are rare in adult and occur readily during a violent traumatism of the chest and/or the dorsal spine. We report two cases treated between September 1997 and August 2002 at the Surgical Emergency Department of Le Dantec Hospital. The first observation was related to a 26 year old lady.

[Multiple exostoses. Review of the literature. Apropos of a case disclosed during an injury].

The authors report a case of bilateral fracture of the thigh bone that occurred in a 22 year old man with multiple exostosis. Clinical deformities, radiology and histology confirmed the diagnosis. Traumatic fractures were caused by a road accident.

Aim: Confronted with an increasing number of an unpowered scooter-related injury and an absence of available data in the literature, we undertook a prospective and exploratory study, in order to assess the circumstances and trauma consequences of this kind of injury.

Method: Between the 15th of August 2000 and the 15th of November 2000, each child consulting our emergency room for a scooter-related injury was questioned about the circumstances of the accident and his general scooter experience. Data about all injuries and there treatment were collected.
