Background: Blood-based biomarkers, especially P-tau217, have been gaining interest as diagnostic tools to measure Alzheimer disease (AD) pathology.

Methods: We developed a plasma P-tau217 chemiluminescent immunoassay using 4G10E2 and IBA493 as antibodies, a synthetic tau peptide as calibrator, and the Quanterix SP-X imager. Analytical validation performed in a College of American Pathologists-accredited CLIA laboratory involved multiple kit lots, operators, timepoints, and imagers.

Background And Aims: Despite a well-funded healthcare system with universal insurance coverage, Switzerland has one of the highest neonatal and infant mortality rates among high-income countries. Identifying avoidable risk factors targeted by evidence-based policies is a public health priority. We describe neonatal and infant mortality in Switzerland from 2011 to 2018 and explore associations with neonatal- and pregnancy-related variables, parental sociodemographic information, regional factors and socioeconomic position (SEP) using data from a long-term nationwide cohort study.

Objective: In this work, singularly perturbed time dependent delay parabolic convection-diffusion problem with Dirichlet boundary conditions is considered. The solution of this problem exhibits boundary layer at the right of special domain. In this layer the solution experiences steep gradients or oscillation so that traditional numerical methods may fail to provide smooth solutions.

Overview of Effects of Motor Learning Strategies in Neurologic and Geriatric Populations: A Systematic Mapping Review.

Arch Rehabil Res Clin Transl

December 2024

Research Centre for Nutrition, Lifestyle and Exercise, School of Physiotherapy, Zuyd University of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Health, Heerlen, The Netherlands.

Objective: To provide a broad overview of the current state of research regarding the effects of 7 commonly used motor learning strategies to improve functional tasks within older neurologic and geriatric populations.

Data Sources: PubMed, CINAHL, and Embase were searched.

Study Selection: A systematic mapping review of randomized controlled trials was conducted regarding the effectiveness of 7 motor learning strategies-errorless learning, analogy learning, observational learning, trial-and-error learning, dual-task learning, discovery learning, and movement imagery-within the geriatric and neurologic population.
