The physiological and clinical importance of motile cilia in reproduction is well recognized, however, the specific role they play in transport through the oviduct and how ciliopathies lead to subfertility and infertility is still unclear. The contribution of cilia beating, fluid flow, and smooth muscle contraction to overall progressive transport within the oviduct remains under debate. Therefore, we investigated the role of cilia in the oviduct transport of preimplantation eggs and embryos using a combination of genetic and advanced imaging approaches.

Background: Patellar fracture is a common injury caused by overstrain of the extensor mechanism or a direct trauma to the knee. The most common complications after patellar fracture are nonunion, infection, post-traumatic arthritis, joint fibrosis, symptomatic hardware, and extensor mechanism failure. These are attributed to the post-fracture flexion and extension movements, the primary damage to the articular cartilage, and the thin soft tissue coverage over the knee.

There are often outbreaks of infectious diseases on farms, which not only disrupt production but also cause significant economic losses. Vaccines are given to prevent the spread of these infectious diseases, but they produce only systemic antibodies or antibodies in the mucosa of a particular system. So, a new mucosal vaccination route is needed where the vaccine will produce antibodies in the systemic circulation as well as in the mucosa of many systems.
