Mercury is a pervasive global pollutant, with primary anthropogenic sources including mining, industrial processes, and mercury-containing products such as dental amalgams. These sources release mercury into the environment, where it accumulates in ecosystems and enters the food chain, notably through bioamplification in marine life, posing a risk to human health. Dental amalgams, widely used for over a century, serve as a significant endogenous source of inorganic mercury.

Concealed penis (CP), also known as hidden or buried penis, is an external genital deformity in which a normal-sized penis is covered by skin, subcutaneous tissue or fat tissue in the prepubic area, leading to abnormal exposure. This condition has significant morbidity and a negative effect on certain aspects of the patient's quality of life, including but not limited to hygiene, micturition, self-image and sexual function. Current classification systems for CP are heterogeneous, but most of these further classify CP based on their division into congenital concealed penis (CCP) and adult-acquired buried penis (AABP).

Background: To accurately identify spread through air spaces (STAS) in clinical stage IA lung adenocarcinoma, our study developed a non-invasive and interpretable biomarker combining clinical and radiomics features using preoperative CT.
Methods: The study included a cohort of 1,325 lung adenocarcinoma patients from three centers, which was divided into four groups: a training cohort ( = 930), a testing cohort ( = 238), an external validation 1 cohort ( = 93), and 2 cohort ( = 64). We collected clinical characteristics and semantic features, and extracted radiomics features.

Study Purpose: to compare single- site viscotrabeculotomy in one eye and double-site rigid probe viscotrabeculotomy in the other eye of the same patient with Primary congenital glaucoma to evaluate the effect of the extent of angle treatment on success rate in the study's locality.
Patients And Methods: This prospective randomized study included 70 eyes of 35 children diagnosed with bilateral PCG who attended Mansoura Ophthalmic Center from June 2021 to July 2023. For each patient, one eye underwent single-site rigid probe viscotrabeculotomy (Group S: 35 eyes) and the fellow eye underwent double- site rigid probe viscotrabeculotomy (Group D: 35 eyes).

Objectives: Cochlear implant (CI) user functional outcomes are challenging to predict because of the variability in individual anatomy, neural health, CI device characteristics, and linguistic and listening experience. Machine learning (ML) techniques are uniquely poised for this predictive challenge because they can analyze nonlinear interactions using large amounts of multidimensional data. The objective of this article is to systematically review the literature regarding ML models that predict functional CI outcomes, defined as sound perception and production.
