Hemolysis, elevated liver enzymes, low platelet count (HELLP) syndrome is a severe complication of preeclampsia (PE), with a higher incidence rate in people living at high altitudes, such as Tibet area. Maternal HELLP syndrome is associated with an elevated neonatal mortality rate. The purpose of this study was to investigate the predicting factors for neonatal outcomes with maternal HELLP syndrome.

Background: The D-dimer to lymphocyte ratio (DLR), a novel inflammatory biomarker, had been shown to be related to adverse outcomes in patients with various diseases. However, there was limited research on the relationship between the DLR and adverse outcomes in patients with infectious diseases, particularly those with sepsis. Objective: The aim of this study was to examine the levels of hematologic parameters in acute ischemic stroke (AIS) and transient ischemic attack (TIA) and to evaluate the use of Neutrophil/Lymphocyte ratio (NLR), Systemic Immune-Inflammation Index (SII), and systemic inflammation response index (SIRI) in the differentiation of AIS and TIA.
Materials And Methods: Data and hematological results of patients admitted to the emergency department and diagnosed with AIS and TIA were compared retrospectively.
Results: The study included 36 TIA patients (M/F = 15/21) with a mean age of 64.

Background: The paper aims to investigate the expression level of NLRP3 inflammasome and its related cell molecules in early diabetes kidney disease (EDKD) in the elderly and its clinical application value.
Methods: From October 2021 to April 2023, 50 elderly patients with T2DM (T2DM group), 50 elderly patients with EDKD (EDKD group) and 50 elderly people who passed the health check-up (healthy group) were chosen as the study subjects. Plasma NLRP3 inflammasome and related cells (blood leukocyte count, monocyte count, lymphocyte count) molecular (NT-proBNP and others) levels are tested, and Pearson correlation analysis is utilized to explore the correlation among plasma NLRP3 inflammasome and related cells, molecules, and renal function indicators (UACR, BUN, Ucr) in elderly patients with EDKD.
