Breast cancer affects millions globally, necessitating precise biomarker testing for effective treatment. HER2 testing is crucial for guiding therapy, particularly with novel antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) like trastuzumab deruxtecan, which shows promise for breast cancers with low HER2 expression. Current HER2 testing methods, including immunohistochemistry (IHC) and in situ hybridization (ISH), have limitations.

The circulatory system receives ionizing radiation at various dose rates. Given mounting epidemiological evidence of elevated radiation risks for diseases of the circulatory system (DCS), the International Commission on Radiological Protection recently recommended the first ever dose threshold for DCS. However, very little knowledge exists about whether radiation effects differ with dose rates and among tissues of the circulatory system.

We used hemagglutination inhibition, reverse transcription quantitative PCR, and histochemistry for detection. Increased epidemiologic wildlife surveillance would improve influenza A emergency event response.

Background: Wolbachia is present in all life stages of Dirofilaria immitis. Wolbachia surface protein (WSP) can be highly immunogenic and induce acute inflammatory reactions in the host upon worm death. To avoid the abrupt release of Wolbachia and its antigens from deceased parasites, the American Heartworm Society (AHS) has recommended using doxycycline (DOXY) and having a 1-month wait period between the DOXY treatment and the adulticidal process for Wolbachia elimination.
